It has been some time since a CGGS music ensemble has toured internationally. The journey began at the beginning of 2018 with a proposal to take keen singers from Chorale to Europe to perform and experience all that is beautiful about that part of the world – culture, food, people, buildings, history and of course the music! From there, 21 enthusiastic girls signed up for this incredible experience. Rehearsals only commenced fully from the beginning of Term 2, 2019 and in a short space of time, this group of young musicians have transformed into a strong and confident performing ensemble. It is an absolute pleasure to work with these girls and we’re all very excited for the tour to begin! Come along to hear the girls perform at the Choral Recital Wednesday 19 June 6pm in the Chapel. The morning the girls sang their a cappella version of Waltzing Matilda in the senior school foyer was something I’ll never forget. Wishing you all a marvellous adventure!
