On Sunday 30 July we said goodbye to our loved ones and set off from Canberra airport. Rehearsing at the far end of Canberra airport was an interesting experience with at least one passenger enjoying our beautiful voices! We then linked up with the remaining few members of our tour party in Sydney before boarding our flight to Dubai. We transferred to our final flight to Budapest and arrived just after lunchtime to a sweltering 38 degree day (a slight adjustment from home) – just enough sunshine and heat to ward off the jet lag. Here we met our tour manager Agnes who will be looking after us in Europe for the next 2 weeks. After checking into our hotel we jumped back on the coach and headed into town for a quick guided tour of Budapest. Our first dinner experience was unique, enjoying the traditional Hungarian cuisine and live music! We’re all looking forward to a good sleep tonight after a big journey and more sight seeing tomorrow before our first concert performance!
